Gremsy has officially become Thermal By FLIR program’s collaborator

Gremsy proudly makes the announcement that we have taken part in the Thermal By FLIR program as one of Teledyne FLIR’s collaborators. Teledyne FLIR’s Boson® radiometric thermal camera module is incorporated into Gremsy’s systems, including National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant Vio F1 payload. Assembled in the USA, Vio F1 is a cutting-edge, lightweight electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) payload designed for applications such as infrastructure inspection, disaster response, firefighting, search and rescue (SAR), and public safety missions.

The Vio F1 combines a Sony 4K Block Zoom EO sensor offering up to 240x zoom with a 640 x 512 radiometric Boson thermal camera (NDAA-compliant and ITAR-free) featuring up to 8x zoom. Additionally, it includes a 2,400-meter laser range finder, making it an excellent choice for industrial and inspection applications. The payload’s advanced sensors enable users to leverage various viewing modes, including individual and combined visible-thermal views, for seamless and intuitive operation.

Tracking Auto Zoom - Dynamically Adjust to Ensure the Selected Objects is Centered

Vio also features advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, enhancing public safety and SAR missions. AI-powered detection provides precise, automated identification of objects like people, vehicles, and boats. The integrated Tracking Auto Zoom function dynamically zooms in on targets for optimal viewing, adjusting automatically as the target moves closer or farther away. This eliminates the need for manual adjustments during flight, streamlining operations and ensuring critical details are captured.

The tracking auto-zoom feature not only offers hands-free operation, but also eliminates the need for manual adjustments as the camera continually follows the subject. This ensures smooth and professional results, avoiding abrupt or jarring zoom changes that can disrupt the visual flow.

Vio F1 in Video Sync Mode - Maximize the Zooming Capabilities of The Thermal Core

EO/IR video sync is a powerful technology, especially when integrated into advanced systems like UAV, and imaging platforms, providing flexibility and capability in diverse environments.

This feature offers unmatched all-weather capability, functioning seamlessly in daylight, darkness, fog, or smoke, making it highly versatile. By combining the strengths of electro-optical (EO) systems for detailed visuals and infrared (IR) sensors for thermal detection, it enhances target identification, even in the most challenging conditions. This integration makes sure accurate detection of heat signatures and visible details, improving operational efficiency. Additionally, EO/IR video sync provides operators with comprehensive situational awareness, allowing for better decision-making in critical scenarios. Its ability to adapt to various environments makes it invaluable for military operations, surveillance, search-and-rescue missions, and industrial monitoring.
