Detroit, MI, United States – May 14th – Gremsy, a manufacturer of advanced camera payloads and imaging systems for UAVs and multi-domain operations, today announced the signing of a strategic collaboration agreement with Nokia to jointly develop next-generation connected drone technologies for U.S. public safety agencies and global markets.
As part of the collaboration, Gremsy is working alongside Motorola Solutions and Nokia to support the deployment of Drone-as-First-Responder (DFR) systems. Central to this initiative is the integration of Gremsy’s ORUS L - a high-performance dual-sensor payload designed to deliver advanced aerial surveillance and analysis capabilities for mission-critical operations.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone in accelerating the adoption of intelligent UAV ecosystems for mission-critical operations, where real-time aerial visibility and resilient connectivity are paramount for public safety. By integrating the advanced EO/IR imaging precision of Gremsy’s ORUS L with Nokia’s secure 5G drone-in-a-box solutions and Motorola Solutions’ DFR Command Central ecosystem, this initiative delivers a scalable, end-to-end platform capable of supporting the most demanding operational environments.

By combining Gremsy’s expertise in UAV payload and imaging technologies with Nokia’s advanced network infrastructure and Motorola Solutions’ mission-critical communications ecosystem, the initiative aims to deliver scalable and connected drone solutions capable of supporting real-world operational environments.
Beyond public safety applications, the collaboration is expected to expand into telecommunications infrastructure integration initiatives with telecom operators and technology ecosystems in Vietnam and international markets. The next phase will focus on enabling smarter aerial connectivity solutions across infrastructure inspection, security operations, emergency response, and smart city deployments.
“This collaboration is a definitive step toward a new era of mission-critical autonomy,” said Mr. Jay Huynh, Chief Commercial Officer at Gremsy. “By integrating the ORUS L payload into this world-class ecosystem, we are providing first responders with more than just a drone - we are delivering a high-precision, real-time intelligence hub. Beyond DFR, we are building a seamless, multi-domain architecture that spans from the United States to Vietnam and beyond. Together, we are laying the digital foundation for the smart cities and secure infrastructures of tomorrow.”
The partnership reflects Gremsy’s broader strategy to expand its global ecosystem and strengthen its position in next-generation UAV applications through strategic collaborations with industry-leading technology companies.
