Gremsy and UViRCO have announced a strategic partnership aimed at creating advanced imaging solutions, facilitating detailed inspection and analysis using UV wavelengths. Over the past three years of collaboration, Gremsy and UViRCO have jointly researched and developed advanced solutions such as Pixy C, a customized gimbal for CoroCAM UVS.
"We greatly value our collaboration with UViRCO's team. Their dedicated effort on SDK development, as well as the supportive spirit, has made it a truly positive experience. Prior to Pixy C, our technical teams successfully collaborated on projects such as Gremsy T3 and Gremsy S1 integration, where Gremsy's gimbals proved to be optimal solutions for CoroCAM. With Pixy C integrating CoroCAM UVS and an added LWIR thermal module, I believe that this system will be well-received in the market," says Thi Nguyen, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Gremsy.
“With the CC8UAV multispectral camera system successfully flying on the Gremsy T3 for many years, Gremsy was the obvious choice to supply a customized gimbal for our new, smaller UVS UAV system. The teams worked together in innovative ways to ensure that the customization project was cost effective and successfully completed within a short time. The UVS / PixyC / M300 combination has now seen hundreds of hours service, flying real life sorties in harsh conditions. We are confident that this system will live up to the expectations of Uvirco clients that are used to above average performance, quality and value for money “ says Ockert Henning, Chief Technology Officer, UViRCO Technologies.

Weighing a total of 1.25 kg, including Pixy C gimbal (only 490g), brackets, and a thermal camera, the resulting system offers excellent UV sensitivity and a wide field of view for close-up inspections. Additionally, the power and gimbal control cables for the Pixy C have been customized specifically for CoroCAM UVS. Throughout their collaboration, Gremsy and UViRCO worked together for SDK development, allowing for comprehensive remote control of the camera’s features.
Pixy C is one of the products from Gremsy’s Pixy series that is well-known for its compact design, serving a wide range of customers of all levels. Pixy C aims to maximize the CoroCAM’s functionality to optimize overall flight time as well as data collecting and processing capabilities. This system is ideal for detailed inspections of distribution and transmission power lines, hardware and other infrastructure, leveraging its class leading resolving power and UV sensitivity to find discharge conditions and facilitate the identification of their causes.
